1. Warranty Coverage

1.1 Thermal Fracture Insurance: Customers can receive coverage for any thermal fracture of their glass by subscribing to our thermal fracture insurance. A thermal fracture is a specific type of breakage caused by temperature changes, which our team is trained to identify. 

1.2 Window Seal Coverage: We provide coverage for window seals blowing up to 5 years from the installation date of the windows. Customers must provide proof of the installation date to validate their claim for window seal coverage.

2. Subscription and Payment Terms

2.1 Payment Options:

Monthly Subscription: Customers can activate the thermal fracture insurance by setting up a direct debit of £10 per month to Solar Control LTD. The direct debit must be manually set up upon completion of the installation, using the following details:

​One-Off Payment: Alternatively, customers may opt for a one-off payment of £100 for 2 years of coverage. After this period, customers must manually renew their agreement to continue the warranty coverage.

2.2 Payments will continue as per the selected plan until the customer chooses to cancel or the coverage period expires.

3. Cancellation and Renewal Policy

3.1 Cancellation: Customers can cancel their thermal fracture insurance at any time without incurring any additional fees. To cancel, customers must provide written notice via email or post.

3.2 Renewal: Customers who opt for the one-off payment will need to manually renew their coverage after the 2-year period if they wish to continue the warranty agreement.

4. Claim Procedure

4.1 Thermal Fracture Claims: To make a claim under the thermal fracture insurance, customers must contact Solar Control LTD and provide evidence of the thermal fracture. Our team will inspect the damage to verify that it qualifies as a thermal fracture.

 

4.2 Window Seal Claims: For claims related to window seals, customers must provide proof of the window installation date. Claims without proof of installation date will be deemed invalid.

5. Exclusions

5.1 This warranty does not cover fractures caused by manual impact or any damage not classified as a thermal fracture by our team.

 

5.2 The window seal coverage is limited to 5 years from the installation date and does not extend beyond this period, regardless of the customer’s subscription status.

6. Lifetime Coverage

6.1 Thermal fracture insurance covers customers for life under the monthly subscription plan, as long as the monthly payments are maintained and the terms and conditions are met.

6.2 For customers who choose the one-off payment, coverage will last for 2 years, with the option to renew after the period ends.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Solar Control LTD's liability is limited to the replacement or repair of glass suffering a thermal fracture, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

7.2 Solar Control LTD is not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages or loss of profits arising from any claim under this warranty.

8. General Conditions

8.1 These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Solar Control LTD and the customer regarding thermal fracture insurance and window seal coverage.

8.2 Solar Control LTD reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any amendments will be communicated to the customer in writing.
